The Al Salam Festival in Adelaide is a free event that brings together people of different cultures and religions to celebrate and share Islamic beliefs and traditions.
There are many misconceptions in Western society about Islam, and these are often exacerbated by concerns about violence in the Middle East.
This free festival is held at Veale Gardens in the south parklands, an attractively landscaped park in Adelaide that is a popular place for weddings and picnics. On Saturday January 28 Veale Gardens will come alive as thousands of people come to celebrate the best of Islamic traditions, learn more about its culture and foods, and enjoy the free things to do.
WHEN: Saturday 27th of January, 2018
WHERE: Veale Gardens, South Terrace, Adelaide
