Also known by its Indian name of Diwali or Deepavali, the Festival of Lights is a Hindu festival that is held after the conclusion of the summer harvest (in the northern hemisphere) over a five day period, ending with a night of a new moon.

There will be an abundance of activities including children's entertainers, baby zone, face painting, playgroup activities, animal information sessions and more

On the weekend of 20 and 21 October 2018, all over Australia, the largest garage sale is happening to raise awareness of not simply throwing out, but finding ways to reuse, recycle and sell on to others, who may find what you have for sale is just what they are looking to purchase.

Celebrating the creative cluster of downtown Port Adelaide, ADL Film Fest is teaming up with Fontanelle, Mixed Creative and Port Community Arts Centre to turn Town Hall Laneway AKA Black Diamond Laneways into a cinema wonderland.

Tthe hugely successful KIDDO Markets will embrace a sea change bringing guests the best of locally produced and sourced garments.

The trail incorporates around 10 stalls throughout the Field Day, Animal Expo, Farmers Alley and Market Stalls, and it's a fun way to explore the whole fair as you enjoy all the fun activities on the way.

Organised as part of ZestFest, the day will bring together residents of West Park, staff, family, friends, community groups and anyone who wants to celebrate and share a love of the beach.

This event gives guests the chance to taste 44 different gins from 15 of South Australia's favourite gin distilleries.

It's free, so head down to the Bay for fun that includes lots of retail therapy.

The next generation of screen storytellers strut their highly impressive stuff in Made in SA, a showcase of the very best fiction and documentary shorts produced in South Australia over the past 12 months.

Every year in Australia and New Zealand around 30,000 people suffer cardiac arrest.

On the day there will be entertainment, Face Painting, Animals Anonymous, Tauondi Caravan, Warriappendi School catering, Free Food to give away, Service providers who work within the community sharing information, Living Arts and much much more.

A major draw card is St Teresa's well sponsored Silent Auction - place a bid for an opportunity to win a variety of goods and gift vouchers from local businesses.

Described as a thought-provoking satire about ambition, masculinity and the complex undercurrents of male friendship - as well as a silly little comedy poking fun at a couple of super famous movie stars!

Pitman Park, John Street and Parabanks Shopping Centre turn into a car gallery and Northern Adelaide's largest car showroom celebrating the many brands of cars built in Australia.
